The Plymouth Rockers Senior Chorus of Plymouth, MN, was organized in 1991 by a group of eight people who loved to sing. Today, it boasts more than 65 men and women, all 55+ years old.
The Rockers is a not-for-profit organization, providing musical enjoyment for groups throughout the Twin Cities metropolitan area, as well as fun and fellowship for its members. They are officially known as Plymouth's "Singing Ambassadors." Bright "RED" jackets are part of the Rockers' signature.
Concert locations include senior community clubs and residences, nursing homes, civic club functions, schools, churches, parks and local city centers.
The Rockers help celebrate birthdays, retirements, festivals, parades,
and special events of all kinds. In its home community, the Rockers have
been part of Plymouth on Parade, Primavera Art Show, and History Fest.
They have performed with the Plymouth Community Concert Band, Community
of Peace Academy Choir, One Voice Mixed Chorus and look forward to partnering
with more musical groups in the future. Annually, the Rockers join with
seven other senior choral groups from the Twin Cities Metro area to present
the Spring Sing sponsored by the Minnesota Senior Choral Association.
